The Journal of Water Research in Agriculture affiliated to the Soil and Water Research Institute has been approved since 2010 with an official license from the Policy and Planning Office of Research Affairs of the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology with reference to letter No. 3/11/2064 dated 28/02/2010 with scientific-research validity. A Journal of Water Research in Agriculture is a journal with open access to the text of articles, which is published as a quarterly journal and uses a double-blind review policy in reviewing articles. This journal follows the principles and criteria of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) in reviewing and publishing scientific articles. 

The Journal of Water Research in Agriculture is a quarterly journal containing original and peer-reviewed articles. The aim of this journal is to raise awareness among researchers of irrigation and water and soil sciences issues in order to provide the ground for raising knowledge and research, identifying and introducing new insights and ideas, and innovations in scientific research at the national and international levels Communication between educational centers, scientific institutions, and the transfer and exchange of results and findings on the sustainable use and exploitation of water and soil resources in the country's agriculture should be increased. The main language of the journal is Persian, and abstracts are also published in English. Articles submitted to the journal should be based on research whose results have not been previously published and have not been submitted to other journals.
